Massa sovada/pão doce (Portuguese Sweet Bread)
This traditional Azorean sweet and enriched bread is traditional at Easter time. It's similar to brioche but sweeter and this version is flavored with lemon, nutmeg and cinnamon. My recipe is inspired by my mom and my time learning to make this bread in Pedro Miguel, Faial where my great grandparents are from.
6 inch round loaf
Ingredients:Unbleached wheat flour, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, yeast, sea salt.
